High Visibility For Chris' Heart Campaign

CHALLENGE: Chris McCormick

Many of us make New Year’s resolutions to lose weight, but when 21-stone Chris McCormick decided to beat the bulk he resolved to make a difference in more than one life.

The 50 year old office manager is planning a 250-mile sponsored bike ride in July from Great Yarmouth to his hometown of Wigan to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation charity. Heart disease kills 208,000 people every year in Britain and it’s an issue that has sadly touched Chris’ own family.

Supported by family, friends & colleagues he started preparations in October, vowing to quit smoking & shed six stone to become cycling fit for the main event. The ride itself will last a challenging six days and Chris will be joined on his journey by seven hardy bike-mates & two support vehicles.

In recognition of this worthy cause, Lowri Beck will be providing hi-visibility vests for all the riders – we’re delighted to be sponsoring Chris and his companions and wish them every success! Staff at Lowri Beck are also running a charity theme month in February in support of the British Heart Foundation.
