Investment Sparks New Opportunities for Lowri Beck
Lowri Beck approved as an accredited Meter Operator (MOP), Data Collector (DC) & Data Aggregator (DA)
Lowri Beck are pleased to announce that we have recently achieved Non Half Hourly (NHH) Meter Operations (MOP), Data Collector (DC) and Data Aggregator (DA) accreditation, enabling us now to offer a full end-to-end service for the non half hourly electricity market.
By gaining these accreditations, Lowri Beck will have to capability to install meters, undertake automated meter readings, and process the reading data captured. Lowri Beck are currently outsourcing this data process function (and the ability to bring this in house will provide considerable cost savings).
Through the development phase of MOP, DC and DA, Lowri Beck worked alongside Logica CMG, a major international force in IT Services, who in-sourced their expertise for this activity to help Lowri Beck achieve market accreditation in less than 8 months.
The Certification and Qualification process involved an in depth analysis of Lowri Beck’s current procedures and policies, and how the new services would integrate with them to ensure that the company’s high standards in Data Retrieval would be maintained with the addition of MOP, DC and DA operations. The analysis stage was carried out by Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and SD Partners (on behalf of Elexon), who performed rigorous external audits in order to verify the findings of this internal process.
Lowri Beck’s new services will be managed by experienced industry experts and a Data Services Team, who have extensive knowledge on MOP, DC and DA.
Consistent with our well established national Data Retrieval services, Lowri Beck is able to provide quality, flexible MOP, DC & DA services across the utility market and is ready to provide the new services immediately, commencing the first contract from February 2008.
