Lowri Beck Services is an independent business support services company. It has been providing metering & data services based around its nationwide meter reading and data collection services to utilities and businesses since 1996.
Lowri Beck Services has the capability to capture data from anywhere on the UK mainland via electronic terminals from site visits, from telephone calls to the dedicated data centre, from paper documentation and from the website. Metering Services are provided for Gas, Electricity, Water, Heat, Oil & LPG covering residential, commercial & industrial customers. Both manual and automated meter reading services are available as part of the metering solutions capability.
The major customers for our services within these markets include the electricity, gas and water utilities located in the UK and private and public sector business end users themselves – end users now have the choice to outsource data and physical metering system services, or to replace their own meter systems.
In 2007, Lowri Beck Services became a full Elexon accredited Non-Half Hourly Meter Operator (NHH MOP) in the electricity market. This means that we can provide the industry with meter installlation & maintenance services as well as a Meter Asset Provision (MAP) as part of the portfolio.
During 2008, our services extended in the data collection field with the company becoming a full Elexon accredited Non-Half Hourly Data Collector & Data Aggregation agent (NHH DC / DA). As full provider of Data Collection this now allows Lowri Beck to provide the Data Retrieval element alongside the Data Processing element before the data is then Aggregated and sent back to the supplier from settlement purposes.
In recognition of the markets in which we operate Lowri Beck’s Metering Services & Soutions offer tailored support services to these three distinct sectors,
- The utilities market, to Utility Supply businesses such as npower, EDF Energy, Scottish & Southern Energy and Utility Warehouse, with our Meter Reading & Data Collection Services, Metering Installation & Maintenance Services and Meter Asset Provision and to
- The energy services market, in partnership with Energy Management Agencies, with our Metering Support Services providing services to private and public sector businesses. The energy services market complements the utilities market - we help energy consumers reduce their energy costs, enabling them to both better purchase and understand their energy usage
